I'm going to study in camberwell, but i'm not yet quite sure about living in there - for a young girl, it doesen't seem like a nice place to live in.
which of areas on the topic would you recommend?
thanks. |

Well some would regard Camberwell in higher regard compared to Peckham or Walworth. Use 'Camberwell' as the keyword to search for an earlier thread on the Accommodation forum to see the posts about the merits (or not) of it and other places that surround it.
Can't speak for Whitechapel, which I've visited a few times and found as equally as scruffy, spooky and litter-strewn as the uglier parts of Camberwell. It has it's central location in its favour.
Parts of Dulwich and Denmark Hill/Herne Hill are very nice, more of a village feel, than other local areas and will only be a short hop on the bus to Camberwell. The conservation area in Peckham Rye is also nice but small. |
