Hi
Im a partly qualified Accountant im still studying for my ACCA, I work for a designer retail company in the accounts department I have been with the company for a year and have moved up which now means I run my whole department but I now feel that I want to change companies and that's where I need help - I would really like to work for JP MORGAN or UBS a big investment company but I seem to be finding it hard, it seems to be a case of who you know??!!!!
Is there anyone that can help me or at least point me in the right direction...
Thank You |

| I think you should register with an agency that those places use. Hays are usually pretty good and are linked to the big firms. |

Hi Chelsea
Have you considered broadening your scope? There are a number of banks and smaller financial institutions around that would be keen to take on a graduate accountant to groom in the business.
Once you are in the industry as per say, you can then successfully network. It is amazing what a small world it is sometimes. |

| Before you hook up with a recruitment agency, thave a good think about the type of accountancy you want to do its a big field. Chelsea says broaden your scope and yes I have firend who did accountancy who are now account managers for financial services, I also have friends who are accountants in the BBC and Sky. Most companies have accountants so decided on what type of industry you want to work in... I would say narrow your scope and find somewhere where you'll be happy |
