Warning to anyone thinking of signing up with 3 network. THEY SUCK!!!
I made the mistake of falling for their offer of 750 free minutes and 250 free texts. This sounds like a great deal but it's not worth the pain of dealing with them. Plus it is only valid for certian UK numbers
First of all....I have NO coverage in my house or anywhere near my house and when you work a lot from home it's a big probelm. 3 have admitted there was an unaccpected number of 3 users in my area and the problem wouldn't be fixed until 2007. My mobile is basically useless at home. They have offered me no solution.
You are not allowed to use your 3 SIM card in any phone excpet 3 phones. I had my phone stolen and figured I'd use an old Nokia I had. I was told I was in breach of my contract and would be cut off and fined etc....even though I was still paying off the expensive phone I purchased through them.
Most of their phones can never be unlocked, therefore can't use it in Australia or on other networks.
Their 'customers service' is the worst I have experienced anywhere.
Take my advice........I wish someone had warned me! |

| Take your phone back to the store and tell them that it is unfit for the purpose you bought it and that you were misold the phone on the basis that it worked in your area. Usually they are obliged to give you a full refund within 21 days. If that doesn't work make sure you go there when its busy and be as loud as you can! It worked for me- |

Thanks for that. Wish I had thought of that back in November! (That's how long this has been going on....!) Funny though...the Carphone Wharehouse I went to actually try to quietly stop people from signing on with 3 because they get SO many complaints!
I have taken my dispute up with Otelo (telecommunications dispute service) And have cancelled my direct debit and refused payment until they sort it out or let me out of my contract, on the basis they are not providing the service they promised (that being mobile coverage). Apparently this is not a rare complaint with 3 (suprising!)
I feel better about it now, at least they won't get another cent out of me! |

| I would seriously advise you not to sell your contract phone unless your contract has expired. You are under a legal obligation to pay your buyer's debts if he fails to pay his bills (which could be huge!) You could settle your monthly payments in advance and see selling your phone will cover that. |

I'm with 3 network..
I'm on those pay-as-you-go thingees..
I would never go on a contract.
Contracts sometimes mess you up..
Even so they might rip you off..
Dial-a-phone messed me about a few times..
They were taking more money at a time.
When I stopped the payment.. those bastards cut off my phone.
They wanted £60 charge to put my phone back on.
Back on? I threw the phone in the bin. |

I'm on Three (with 12 months free line rental) and have never had any problems. I find they offer the best free minutes and texts BUT like you have found it depends on your area coverage. I get full reception in this area but I know some parts of the country you won't. Then again that's the same with any network some places work better than others (I think Orange have the best coverage). I can't comment on their customer service as I've never had to call them.
I guess the best thing is to check which network works best in your area. |
