Hello! I am a student from Poland.A few friends of mine and I we are going to visit the area of Leicester this year. We are renting the house for two summer month. I know that students don't have to pay COUNCIL TAX !! Does this rule applays to foreign students too ?
If so, what kind of documents shoul we produce in order not to pay councli tax ? |

it only applies while you are studying, it depends on the council i guess. but when i was studying i had to take a letter from the university and my tenancy agreement to the council offices to prove i was a student. it only applies if EVERYBODY in the house is a student. otherwise you have to pay 75%
there are a lot of students in my area, so now I am working I am lumbered with their share of the tax... aaaargh! |

| hi there this rule does apply for ALL students including you, just get a the council tax certificate which your student office should be able to give, and send it off to the council tax office and your done |

I think that the document produced in Polish will not be reliable ? |
