i got an email from (chang_recruitments@yahoo.com) the usual one, asking for name, age, gender address etc. i thought it was all legit, and i filled it all in and sent it, but i realised its all a scam 2 DAYS LATER , but i havent recieved any money order or cheques, etc and i havent cashed any payments but he has got my details? what do i do to be safe as he has my details and my address? shall i just throw away all the incoming mail from companies?

Hi,
I have become a victim of one of such scams.

I paid 1400 Pounds into a friends account to show that I was capable of paying rent but the so called landlord removed the money from somewhere.

I called moneygram and they say they have no control over people withdrawing money as they may provide fake ID.
Please , ensure NOBODY ever should not do a moneygram trasnfer in such cases and aviod it even otherwise.

I dont know how to take this further as I have lost hard earned money. THis was my first salary.
If anyone has become a voctim of something similar. can you suggest me how you went about.

You can rent the flat as long as you need to stay even for 2 or 3 years. The first payment will be for 2 months 1280 £.In case you want it, let me know so we can arrange the transaction. For me is very hard to come in UK and if I will come i must be 100% sure that I will not come for nothing. As you can see in the photos everything it's new in the flat and the flat is fully furnished and also benefits from wood flooring. You have internet connection, phone, washing machine with dryer, cable TV and most important parking place.

Sent her another e-mail saying that before there was any exchange of money, could she please send me further information and pictures of the flat as I previously requested. Again, instead of answering my queries, she sent the same Western Union/Moneygram request:

Hi,

I work in a hospital and is very hard for me to come in UK. I can't take the risk to leave my new job for days and when I arrive in UK to see that I come for nothing. I want to be 100% sure that when I will meet you, we do the rent papers then i can come back in Italy.

So i can be sure of that look how we can do:

You make the payment from your name and address to your best friend name and address in UK using Western Union or MoneyGram for 2 months rent that means 1280 £ and send me the scanned receipt. As soon as I see the scanned receipt that you have made the payment, I will come in UK and you will see the flat and maybe rent it. After that, we will go together at the Western Union or MoneyGram office and you will take the money back and pay me.So all you have to do is to find a Western Union or MoneyGram office and wire 1280 £ from your name to your friend name and send the scanned receipt. I am asking you this to be sure that I do not come in UK for nothing. I hope you understand.

P.S : As I told you,I have a lot of customers interested to rent the apartment.. I will reserve the apartment to the first one that provides me the scanned paper from Western Union or MoneyGram. As soon as I have the confirmation from Western Union or MoneyGram that the money are available on his name I stop the transactions with all the other customers!

When you will make the transfer you will have to pay a small fee at Western Union or Money Gram which is around 50 £ that I will deduct it from the total rent.The money will stay in the Western Union or Money Gram system till we will sign the rent papers and both we will go to a Western Union or Money Gram office and you will pick up the money and pay me.

Regarding my advert that I placed online, the flat consists of 2 size double bed, tv, clean and nice bathrooms and toilets fully tiled, recessed low voltage halogen spotlights, wood floor, fully fitted kitchen with all gadget,washing machine,fitted wardrobes, broadband/wireless internet, spacious parking space.
I want to assure you that if you get the flat you will enjoy it.The flat is for both long term and short term lease.
The monthly rent is £665 and if you are relly interested you have to pay for 2 months and I think is fair. Also includes all bills, council tax.The 2 bedroom apartment is still available but am presently in Germany for a master programme, but i can make myself available to come to the city and we meet if we both agree on a perfect date and time to meet. I would want you to provide an evidence that you can afford the room, because i have had on several times whereby some people said they are interested and after viewing and like the flat and love to occupy then later they will also tell me to reduce the amount for them or will pay me later once they get a good job and i can't afford a waste of time leaving my job for nothing. I will be glad if you can forward more details about yourself. I need you to get back to me asap because i have lot of people who want to rent the flat. It is rented out on first come, first serve basis. I don't want to rush myself in renting the flat to just anyhow person.. That is why I am taking my time.
