Hello to everyone...
Could you someone help me to find the right way to get interview?
I'm an Italian system IT expert.I have around 10 years experience on IT, last 5 years spent as system administrator along bank enviroment.
Roll out of bank agencies, security procedures, 2/3 level support...etc.
I gave my cv to 2 recruiting agencies in London city that immediately further they arrange to me the interview at their offices 'cause interested
to show my skills to many clients.
But i don't understand why ...after one month and frequenty call neither of both booked for me any interview.
I send and contacted other agency via e-mail ..but same...
Which is my fault, my gap?? The cv format?, the age?(i'm 37), the experience in iT bank environment??It's really difficoult to find a job
in IT in London city??
Any suggestion?
Thank you |

dont take any offence, but i think your language skills might be a problem. From what you have just written it is very clear that your written english is not very good and maybe you need to improve on that. So perhaps you will need to lower your standards on the type of IT jobs you are looking for untill you have improved significantly. You might want to explore other ways of finding a new jobs(i.e. job websites, newspapers, job centre, etc)
I'm also looking for a IT Job but as i have just finished university, i dont have much experience in the area that i would like to get a job in(vb.net, asp.net, c#, xml, javascript, sql). I have some experience as a network technician which i did for a year but would not like to continue in that area. At the moment i'm working on some personal .net projects that i can publish online as part of my portfolio for my cv.
Can anyone offer some advice as to how i can gain some useful programming experience(for either the web or windows) with a real client even if it is for free?

Hi,
With your experience you should have no problems getting an IT job in the City. At the moment there are a lot of IT jobs out there.
If recruiters seems interested initially but once you send your CV the interest goes, there could be a problem with your cv.
job wise look at

if you need help with your cv or interview skills look at
