|
|
I have just found a nice 1BR apartment in Barons Court that I am thinking of making an offer on, asking price is £275 a week inclduing most bills (water/heating)
I am not realy that familiar with the area itself.. but I have been to earls court, kensington etc, and am fairly happy with what I see.. is there anything else I should be concerned about.. is the price im paying too high?
What about Gyms and supermarkets in that area?
Cheers!

Its a very pleasant area, there's not much crime, and the Queens Club Tennis is very close by. The gentle thwocking of tennis balls in the summer is atmospheric.
Parking sucks a bit, especially when the tennis is on, but in general its a quiet enough area. There are not really any major council estates close by, and there are a lot of small single-professional and couples renting in the area.
Not a lot of night life, although the Curtains Up and the Famous Three Kings are nice pubs with occasionally interesting clientele *waggles eyebrows*.
There's a huge Tesco's within walking distance on Cromwell Road/Earls Court Road, but there is a small local Tesco on North End Road.
And Hammersmith Broadway is reasonably close-by and somewhat better for night life. And the A4 (Cromwell Road) takes you straight into the West End, and is always easy to get taxis to and from.
Dunno about gyms, we're couch potatoes who surf the net at all odd hours of night, so are too zonked to go to gyms.
Out of five thumbs up's, we'd give it a 3.5
Hope this helps. |

Thanks!
We decided to take it, just finalising everything now, I am still in Australia, but fly over there on the 10th of July, so it should be great.
Hope to see you round!
