Saw something today that made me raise an eyebrow.

I've noticed a company (mainly by seeing their vans on the highways byways of London ) Company is called CBS Outdoor and they have the same logo as the American news channel. CBS has been around for at least 60 years if not much more. The today I noticed a great big old yellow truck with the logo Big Yellow Grab it. I think they haul or escavate not sure as it went by me faster than I could take the information in.

I forgot to mention their log was the same as The big yellow storage people.

intellectual property - the easiest way to describe it - is when you are working for a company and due to the fact they pay your wages, and provide you with an area to work, anything that comes from your brain and becomes a success within the market........it then becomes owned by the company, and you will be lucky if you even get a mention

or at uni, you come up with some grand theory - it get out and the uni take it as there own (but offering you a "research" position so as to develop it)........and when it is advertised it is called "a team of professors/scientists at X university".......etc.

Hi, if they bought the rights to use the logo then yes it is ok. But as Us and Uk have different laws for example if something is patented in the us but not world wide then you can produce the same thing in the Uk and not have a legal claim against you. I hope this helps to clarify things for you
