now im really mad. ebay/paypal sucks big time! they are such a pain in the ass.
about 2 months ago i sold my broadcast camera for £1200 on ebay and the buyer wanted to pay by paypal and that did not work. he tried again and again it did not work. later he told me his account is blocked for some reason. he paid me then in cash and everything was fine but my paypal then was blocked as well. those bastards claim that if you send or recieve more than £1700 your account will be limmited due to anti money laundering laws. the problem is that is did NOT even recieve such a large amount. the total on my account ever was £90 pounds. now they claim that even "attempted" transactions are considered as recieved payments!! HUH?? WTF!! it is not even MY fault. i did nothing wrong. now my account is limmited for about 2 months and i am still unable to lift it. they ask me to confirm my bank account and creditcard number and proof of adress. but everytime i try to confirm my bank account it is denied because this bankaccount is already in use but blocked or flagged! so i have to open a new bank account? i tried then to use my savings account and CLEARLY stated in the form it is a saving account. then they send me small amounts to my account which i have to use to confirm at the bank account confirmation. this works fine but a day later this part is blocked again with the comment my bank sent the money back telling paypal this account does not exist. of course it exists. how the fuck would i be able to confirm it otherwise? does jesus telling me the 2 small amounts they have sent?
now ebay as well start to play those stupid game. my article has been removed because i said i do not accept paypal (how can i? my paypal is freezed for nothing) and when i relist my article i am FORCED to accept paypal payments? for god sacke NO! WTF is that shit? ebay / paypal regulation sucks. i am not even sure if that is legal? are we in a police state here? i want to choose how i want to be payd and NOT the way ebay wants.
anyone with similar problems? |

| they come up with extra scams regular as clockwork on how they can jointly extort more fees from sellers, cant wait for a good auction site to compare with them ebayers will leave them by the millions without hesitation. |

| ebay is shockingly bad for sellers now. I hope ebay dies out. Is gumtree the only decent alternative? Ebay has such a massive audience. An auction platform that links many sites to a central database would be a good answer to the problem. With the gumtree idea of being free to sell. |

| The problem being how do you expect these companies to survive if they offer everything for free? |

eBay & PayPal not worth it, I learnt that about 3 years ago, I was nowhere near my limit but PayPal limited my account and lept £50 in there. 6 months later money gets released. eBay just changed their fee's to 10% of your final value which is just a way for them to make money but if you sell something that's worth £1000 you have to give eBay £100 where as before i was about £20 tops? Its pathetic, eBay and PayPal are scams themselves but try tell us beware of scams etc.
You use be able list and NOT accept PayPal but now you HAVE to accept PayPal or you can't sell on there, it ain't fair when you don't wanna wait near on 2 weeks to get money for what you sold. I stopped using eBay when my PayPal was limited, I will NEVER use eBay or PayPal AGAIN. Go check out www.paypalwarning.com and www.paypalsucks.com there are X amount of people P'd off with them on there. |

hi misch
welcome to the forums
you might want to have a shufti at the rules which say
5. No SPAM, commercial advertisement or links to promote other websites – this includes using a company name as your username or having a commercial link in your signature. |

Oops! Sorry - I DID read the rules - or should I say MISREAD them! How do I delete my post - or does that get done automatically? |

is it me dose no one know that gumtree is owned by ebay. google it, old news. 2005
I started loosing faith in gumtree, everytime i post anything I get my loads of buyers from Nigeria. the typical fake paypal.
I hate paypal and ebay. I am hoping that gumtree wont follow. i can just see them locking us to one payment type.
now days even if you do a re-fund in ebay you still get charged for the listing.
anyways, think i will go to tesco and stick an add up there, might be a million times better that anything.
cheers all. P.s. i have posted 2 items for sale on gumtree and still nothing is going up. god knows whats going on with gumtree. |
