| I have now posted to 2 ads to the Liverpool/Guys looking for females section - which haven't been posted. None of them were offensive - so can't see a problem. Can anyone at Gumtree tell me why. There doesn't seem 2 be a Customer Service section to ring or enquire. (Another ad I placed for a house I was renting out in Prescot was accepted - but my personal add wasn't) Why? |

| It would be an idea if we got a default e-mail telling us when our ads have been posted or rejected. |

I'd be interested to know whether you got anywhere with this....I've had my own problems and can't contact any Gumtree types to sort it out. The faqs page is good - but dosen't cover all subjects - so they should really consider putting together a decent customer service team - if not people like me WILL go elsewhere. Its annoying to pay for service you don't receive.....and someone actually RECOMMENDED this place to me.....I'm going to go find them now and kick them in the shins. They obviously haven't used this place in a while. |

Hi everyone,
All the possible reasons why your ad would not go live are covered in the FAQ page. Honestly. It may be that it breached our policies in a way you didn't realise?
If the FAQs really don't answer your question, we can provide customer support by email. Our customer support email address is on the FAQ page; you just have to look carefully!
Registering on the forums would also make it easier for us to contact you if you have a problem.
Hope that helps. |

Hey Londoner,
That's a really "nice cut and paste" posting you've written there. I seem to see that you use the exact same posting in other threads where people complain about the fact that they can't get through to anyone. Very original.
Can you tell E-bay to pull their finger out?
This site has gone down hill and it's only a matter of time until someone comes along and gives our community the type of website we used to have. Considering the Gumtree has sold out to a major corporation you would think the service would get better rather than the state it's in now.
It's sad, really. |

To Londoner again,
Just read what I wrote and it sounds kinda bitchy! I hope you didn't take it personally. But a lot of paying customers (as well as free users) are frustrated by services not working. That's all.

No offence taken! Sorry if it came across as cut and paste.
If something's not working - we'll fix it if we can, just let us know.
If the faqs really doesn't answer your question, our contact details are at the bottom of the faq page. But most of the emails and queries we get are answered there already. |
