Go to google map and see satelite photos like this one
Just type in a post code and hit enter, you can zoom in or out and scroll around.
Then go to tfl.gov.uk and check out the transport 
It's not as good as living there for a while, but MUCH faster  .
What do you think? |

The photos are years old so your not going to get the "today" feeling. Dont be lazy and go to the area for yourself that way you'll have no one to blame but yourself. |

How much has the area around you changed in the last couple of years?
Where I live the only change is that the street was resurfaced.
It does work - helps you choose the places you will spend the time to visit. |

How can you see what an area is like by an outdated satellite picture? Can you see the shops, the traffic, the CPZs, crime, pubs, restaurants, schools i could go on.
