er i hate to disavow you but the NATO troops (under the auspices of the UN) were sent in to afghanistan to remove the vile taleban regime and destroy the infrastructure of al quada
how your mind leaps to a zionist / masonic mission is quite astounding
but i note that you are still determined to offer succour to the terrorists - that you would rather the poor oppressed peoples of afghanistan were still living in total fear and oppression
you are so ripe for additional brainwashing its quite scary - i hope your new mosque drums it out of you or i fear we have a new richard reid in the making |

Well there you go folks, KillerK is proof you all buy what the media throws at you. Still there's no carpet bombing here, or untested weapons, depleted uranium and God knows what else being unleashed on us. Look at what flooding does to us. I bet they would love to be in our shoes, instead they have a puppet put in charge, ready to hand the Countries wealth over to the invaders.
Has anyone noticed poppy production is on the up? Do you think it's anything to do with the biggest drug importers being in the Country, the CIA? |

The Soviets invaded Afghanistan, in the vain attempt to put an end to the centuries-old domination of the war lords. Then, the USA used the event to get back at the Soviets; and, armed the muhadjeen to carry the Cold War to the Soviets. The USA had scant concern then for ordinary Afghanis; they were not interested in ridding the country of the cancer of war lords.
No, rather they were concerned with keeping the arms race on the boil. We now know, that in amongst the muhadjeen supported, trained and armed by the USA was their Nemesis, Osama bin Laden. And, just as the Americans created the monster Saddam; so, they breathed life into bin Laden’s al Qaeda; whilst, at the same time creating an environment which allowed the Taliban to flourish.
Afghanistan resisted Britain’s attempts to impose western ‘culture’ upon her in the past. Despite six years of foreign occupation; elections to set up a government and President; Afghanistan is no nearer peace or democracy than it has ever been. Outside of Kabul – and even here it is no longer safe – the traditional war lords, many of whom with the blessing of the US, hold sway over the country. Where they don’t; insurgents make inroads.
The people of Afghanistan still live in fear and oppression. As with Iraq, Afghanistan is yet another US and western failure.
The US has offered succour to terrorists in Afghanistan since the 1980s. Today in Iraq, both the US and UK are offering succour to the insurgency, by their presence. Just as in Vietnam, the US is going to get its arse, deservedly, kicked in these two arenas; if Britain does not want to share in this fate, I suggest she pulls out of both countries; and, distances herself from US foreign policy, particularly any more ‘adventures’ in the Middle East. |

I notice that you appear quite happy to live a lifestyle affored possible to you thanks to the country that would have likely seen you stonned had you tried it in Afganistan in the past. |

KillerK, you don't speak for the majority of Afghans. I have a different view on this, which is that the Afghans are victims of the Taliban, the war lords, and the west. Democracy is alien to them and we should not be trying to force it on them. We invaded Afghanistan when it suited us to do so, not when the Afghans asked for help.
When the USSR invaded Afghanistan, the Olympic Games were scheduled shortly afterwards in Moscow. The USA boycotted them in protest, and urged the rest of the world to do the same, but few supported them. The UK Olympic team ( and many others ) still competed in the Olympic Games, no-one gave a fuck about Afghanistan, and the USA concern was political, not humanitarian, they were only concerned with Soviet expansionism.
Yes the USA and the UK trained the mujahadeen and Bin Laden, we funded them too. The Mujahadeen trained in Scotland, in the west highlands, as it was a similar landscape to the Afghan mountain regions. The Taliban took over when the Soviets pulled out, and they opressed the Afghan people yet again, they even embarked on ethnic cleansing murdering those Afghans who had facial characteristics of Mongolian peoples. They raped, tortured, and murdered and opressed their own people, but still the UK and the USA and the rest of the world stood by. Afghan is a mere pawn, it's people have no voice, the new government is struggling to survive, the war lords and the opium dealers still rule behind the scenes, and the Taliban is still a threat.
We have continued to fail the Afghans, they have not received the funding they need or the support. |

i dont buy into this "its only a western thing - you cant impose it"
so what you saying - you would rathere people have no choice - no freedom - oppression
thats a very prejudiced concept to assume these people dont desire the same rights that you have |
