My boyfriend and i are arriving in london at the start of june and trying to find somewhere to base ourselves for a working holiday, anything up to a year or two. We're both hospitality professionals so we're looking for somewhere nice but don't want to blow the budget completely on rent.
Friends have told us to look around notting hill, shepherd's bush, fulham, putney, shoreditch etc for somewhere fun with a bit of style.
Any advice on places to live/hostels to stay in, the best restaurants/bars to work at, etc would be really appreciated. |

| I came to england recently and you can find a few places that specialise in short term accommodation. You can book for a few weeks and then find your own place but at least you can see what places you are renting. I don't have their website anymore but the number is +442071933959 |

| Hey there.. I would take your friends word of advice and definately move around notting hill, westbourne park, fulham, putney.. you will be looking at around £550 - $600 a month and you probably wont be able to dodge that fact.. maybe if you are really lucky. Bills are sometimes inclusive and sometimes not.. Search on the gumtree and if you have any mates to check out the rooms for you, your laughing.. either way it will all work out. I dont know what you do in hospitality but the pay is shit, so prepare yourself for that. It is enough to get by though if you really work the hours.. or if you find a bar or restaurant that offer service charge.. even managers are paid shit.. |
