Hi
After a tough winter I am in need of fresh air & relaxation. I have located excellent quality two bedroom accommodation on Zante, peaceful & near a quiet beach. I have also researched flights etc.
I am not exactly in the first flush of youth but have many younger friends.

|

Hi
Thank you for your reply.
I have found an idyllic place to stay on Zante - google Villa Pantis to get an idea - & have contacted the owner who has vacancies in the two bedroom apartment at very reasonable cost. He does not deal with tour operators so one would need to book the flight separately. At the moment I am looking at flights from Birmingham from 13th to 27th May. I am an hellenophile but have never been to Zante.
Re:me - I am a retired teacher/counsellor/gallery manager inter alia,
divorced, no children, Virgo & have a sense of humour.
I look forward to your reply & to reading about you. |

Hi, good afternoon, thanks for your reply, sorry I have been so tardy in my reply, life seemed to have got the better off me for a couple of days. The villa sounds delightfull. I should tell you a lttle something about myself, I am male 55 yrs old and separated, I work as a manager in the motor industry and have many varied interests, including travel, narrowboats and reading. For various reasons I do not have a travelling companion and do not wish to travel alone. When I went to peru last year I went with'just you'. it was ok, but I would not want to repeat it.
I look forward to hearing from you, by the way what gender are you, not that it is overly important as I am only looking for a travel companion,
Regards
Alan |

Hi Alan
Thank you for your email.
Despite searching the web extensively I have been unable to find suitable flights for May/June - I think it was too ambitious to imagine I could organise flights etc so late & involve a travel buddy at the last minute. I have
not given up the idea of going to Zante - maybe in September/October this year. Many apologies if I have inconvenienced you in any way.
Let me know if the idea of an Autumn break would interest you.
Regards
Fiona |

Hi Fiona, Thanks for your reply, although it was rather dissapointing !. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, I will not be able to have any more than a couple of days at a time off after August, through to mid December. I am going to do a bit of narrow boating in the next month hopefully, so that may have to do for this year.
If you are ever down my neck of the woods (cornwall) (why do I want to go away when I live in this lovely part of the country - I know - the rain ! !) and would like to meet please do not hesitate to contact me, my No. is07795026106 or e-mail is globalspirit@tiscali.co.uk.
Bye for now

Hi Alan
Thank you for your reply - I am really sorry to have let you down over the Zante idea especially as you have work commitments in the Autumn - I do hope that you will have some happy narrow-boating trips soon as a compensation.
I love Cornwall. Yes, it is a shame about the weather sometimes but you do have better air than here in Cheltenham & can reach the sea much more quickly. My Cornish travels have included the area round Port Isaac to St Ives & also great holidays in the Scillies on Tresco & St Martins which I found so beautiful & relaxing.
Thank you for your contact details - I will be in touch if/when I get that far south again.
All the best
Fiona |
