Please Help. Is this a Scam?

After reading previous threads about tickets and ebay and gumtree scams I am worried in might happen to me. I am in the process of buying tickets and the seller has just sent me this email

Because i have the tickets listed in Gumtree also i want to deal like that.
To finish this deal i would prefer to eBay Payment since (Gumtree) was recently bought by eBay we will have 100 % protection.
I will need your full name and shipping address so i can
contact Gumtree and let them know about this purchase.They will then contact you with payment
and shipping details.Let me know if this is ok with you.
After i will receive the payment confirmation i will send the tickets in the same day with UPS next day delivery and you will receive them in less than 24 hours!

Is this a scam?

If you are so inclinded, give the bloke some fake details (a police station adress works fine) and look forward to recieveing your "Gumtree" email.

It's a worthy lesson to see what a scam one looks like. Plus, you can experiment with your email service provider to determine the real origion of the email (country and general region only) to see where the scammer is really based.

If I were a betting man, I'd say Nigeria, Romania, UK, Europe (in that order).
