As a mum, you are emotionally invested in this subject, so you are right.

They barely do, which is sad for the child. How can a child raise a child?

from what i've seen the children raise themselves, the older ones looking after the younger. Maybe its too easy, generations of the same families never working.

It will take generations, slowly raising the education levels of these ppl. Decent sex education may help rather than tip toeing around the issue.

But do people ever have to face the true consequences of their choices ? Housing benfit, milk tokens...exchanged for cigarettes, income support, child tax credit. Maybe its too esy to make the choice.....?

The consequence is the child they have to raise, how it turns out, the loss of part of your youth.

If you remove those benefits then you would be punishing the child.

Yes, I'm sure you'd rather have an extra 20p in your pocket while a whole new sub-culture was created, but it's not all about YOU, YOU, YOU!
