Then you haven't been paying attention. I've been in a few with OL in the past and was in one just yesterday - lol. Of course i am not going to start to searching and scanning through my post to dig up my past debates with people so you either see it or you don't. Wink

Though its funny to see people defending ammie with this one. I mean i understand she is OP's friend so one will be biased, but on this topic? lol, thats a joke, no one can deny her ignorance on this one. Confused

I pity the groid.

I laugh at the cruel joke the universe has made of them.

Just enough sentience to be self aware, but not enough to do anything constructively about it.

Are you in the right forum, jango? The Star Trek convention is down the hall, I think?

It knows what I mean Ammie, no need to explain.

One reason why some people become extremely hostile to anyone who violates a political correctness speech rule and utters some taboo truth is that the utterance of the truth serves as a reminder that others have been emasculated and silenced.

For some it is humiliating to be reminded of one's own submission to the enforcers of taboos. So they lash out at those who speak the unspeakable.

Hello geezer, I know who you are Wink

I've been very busy for a while now. I come on now and again still, but rarely post.

For a while there the quality of this forum became quite awful, and I wanted no part of it. I don't know how you could stand it.

Things appear to be a little better lately, although appearances can be deceptive.

Ammie, how old are you? The things you are saying make me think you must be quite young, which just means you haven't experienced anything that would make you realise why some people would be offended by your comments.

So lets have your retraction then ammie.

Ammie, don't worry about the bullies, they have nothing to say of worth so ignore them.
I will say you are partly correct, although there are those in the UK who have adopted British Culture and identity as their own. Although, those people are very few and far between. I was talking to a friend tonight of Windies parentage, who when he speaks to people born in the UK that say they're African, he says:

"Have you been to Africa? - No
Did Africa educate you? - No
Did Africa feed you and protect you? - No
Did Africa give you the freedoms to do what you can? - No
So if you like Africa so much go and live there. I may be of a different colour from many around me here, but that is the only difference. England is my home and is my culture. If you don't like it here then leave, no one's stopping you, but if you goto Africa, you'll never be looked on as and African, you may very well end up dead and your black skin won't be of any bonus".

This is what he said to me tonight. He is one of many of my friend's who are British Blacks and proud of it. Although the majority of Blacks I've met in London, born here are most certainly not British, but residents, who are a disgrace to the Nation, living in a country that has given them more than any African could.

Fuck the bullies Ammie. Like I said ignore them. I don't read any posts on here, not even the one made by Sman. He can have a conversation with himself for all I care and he seems to be doing it. Wink

Good point Jango.
Few forget that the enforcement of racism within society only served to take away yet more freedoms and liberties from people. The saying "sticks and stones" has disappeared in society as we become a 'blame' culture enforced by American Law Suit culture.
If people don't like people because of their skin colour, nationality etc etc and don't want to employ them in their company then that's their prerogative and living in a country 'supposedly' democratic that values it's freedoms and liberties that shouldn't be a problem.
However, welcome to Orwell's 1984 where the Socialist, Fascist Government, along with the socialist fascist, Media and Education Systems, control what we do and whom we should like. It's wrong in our society to have personal choice whom we should like or dislike, but it's perfectly ok to enforce multiculturalism upon us because they deem it so.

A sad, fucked up country we live in and the morons on here really haven't got a clue about civil liberties whatsoever.

You are very correct in what you state. Wink

not strictly true

and not knowing how they feel or not - doesnt equate to ignorance either

objectively speaking, that would mean being psychic is the only way to not be ignorant

therefore, what is being questioned here is whether ammies placement of feelings encompasses all black people.....
and all you need to do is find one single black person to disgree with her view and the argument can be thrown out

which would mean you are victorious

but further scrutiny, shows that there are still an overwhelming majority still not had there word within this argument

and going by the socially acceptable (in my eyes shite..but society loves it) majority consensus

ammie still upholds her argument

if you disagree, then you kindly speak for all black people then get back to her - as your opinion is still as valid as hers based on the above

You dont know where he is from

Are you not allowed to be English of you are not white?

it isnt a case of not being allowed Rolling Eyes they never see themselves as English even if they lived here for a zillion years..its always boo hoo my great x 20 grandfather moved here from Africa so i feel attached to a land i have never ever been to Rolling Eyes

Generlising #1

they rarely do see themselves as English ..so you found two on here ..big deal Rolling Eyes

Oh so now we have moved from 'Never' to 'Rarely'. Any further amendments?

Were you basing your blanket assertion that you knew what all black ppl think on anything other than your profound ignorance?

Well ammie?

well what Rolling Eyes

i am not ignorant... black people always harp on about being African or how their grandfather was blah blah blah Rolling Eyes

And generalising #2.

Took less than two minutes to find. But of course one must remember you do have a short memory. Laughing

I for do not harp on about my grandfather or ancestors as you claim black people do so your argument or point is instantly blown away with nothing less but your ignorance.

It amuses me greatly that people here actually defend your ignorance, i read some of it earlier and was actually laughing in my seat. Had to show some of work collegues today. Very Happy

ammie speaking generalising every black person with some BS is ignorance, Vibes. It wouldn't even surprise me if she hadn't even engaged in a face to face conversation with a single black person, let alone her coming out and speaking like she knows what every person thinks or feels.

I posted in the first page and stated, i was black and consider myself to British, not sure you noticed on the first page, which left her argument completely dead and buried.

If i came out and generalised every white person in a negative manner then that would be classed as me being ignorant, as i do not know what every white person feels or think, i would be assuming and it'll be silly assumption at that. Do you not agree? If i came out and said that you yourself think and act in a certain way based upon your race when i don't know you from Adam would you not think i'm ignorant? Confused If that answer is no, then fair enough and the discussion will be over. Cool
