i am a single mum of 4 children ages range from 9 -2yrs i was made homeless illegally by my previous private landlord and now the local council i live under is refusing to house me leaving me intentionally homeless and i can only rent from a private landlord but nobody wants to take dss, does anyone know anyway i can house my children and myself? or any landlords that will accept dss and children?

get yourself to a shelter office asap!

in what way was it illegal?

the council has to provide at least temporary accomodation for you as you have children, contact your local social services too, they can help with a deposit they will try to argue about it but do some research into the childrens act they are legally obliged to help you.

dss landlords are few and far between but keep your eye on the local papers and beware of the scammers
