do not fall for cheap things to be send to you on basis you put half money (as a proof you have the money) on Western Union (even from you to you), then send the copy of the receipt to the seller. They will take your money out and you get nothing back

This is the TT Audi 1.8 ...I told him I'm IN LONDON. But they have templates. Please DON'T BUY!!!!
Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Dear Customer,
Yes the car is still for sale and the price is not negociable.
I bought this car from Spain and I moved it here in London.
I haven't used it too much, because it has the steering wheel on the left side.
It's registered and licensed in Spain. I can assure you that it's in excelent condition and that
it never had accidents. You won't need to make any repairs on it if you buy it. I kept it in garrage all the time and never smoked inside. I have decided to sell it. I can deliver the car to your country and I will agree to let you test it and inspect it for a few days just to be sure. I am going to use oops! for delivering it and I will pay the shipping and insurance fees. I want to use this company because I have a very busy schedule and travel allot so there is no time. It should take about 3 days for you to get the car. You will only have to send a small advance of 30% to oops! as a sign of seriosity.
The car is already in their possesion and they are only waiting for my instructions to begin shipment. If you deicide to buy the car, you need to email me your full name and address where you want to send the car and i will contact the company personaly with your full details to send the car. But I will need you to tell me so I can make the proper arrangements on my side. When everything is ready, the company will contact you with the confirmation with all the informations about the advance payment and to see the status of the delivery. After you give them the advance, they will bring you the car to your door and you'll have 5 days to inspect the car and test drive it to make sure you like it and it works perfectly. At the end of the 5 days, you will need to pay the rest of the money to
oops! , or, if you decide not to buy it, you will get the money you payed in advance back, and I will get my car back. I think it's a good way to sell this car because we won't have to take any risks. If you agree to my terms, please email me so we can arrange something.

Regards !!!

I think it’s very obvious that not only english people sell the stuff over the gumtree site, therefore you cannot expect all of them to speak perfect english.........

here is a conclusion.
anything to do with wire transfer to a stranger is scam !
even redirecting money from someone to someone is a scam!
if its TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.. IT IS a SCAM.

we have bank accounts/ paypal to send money to home or buying things on the net.
there is no flipping need for western union.
innit.

I fell for this money transfer scam some months back. My account got blocked. My bank told me to report it to the police so I did but they did nothing as no money was actually taken from my account.

Think i almost got done on a variation of the WU scam. was looking at a car on line and sent an email off asking for more info. he doesnt live in Germany but now in the Liverpool so will have to drive over to sell it. to make sure i am at the right place i need to send half of the money to myself in the agreed town to make sure i am there. once i have sent the money to myself i send him a copy of the receipt to prove this then he will come over. it sounded beleivable until i received another email for a different car asking that i do pretty much the same thing as he works in Dublin and would have to fly over. here are the emails, see what you think

Hello,
You have to understand that this depozit with western union is not a pay for the car, it gest that you will show me that you realy have money for the car and that you realy will be at the meeting point when you say that you will be.
So i told you that i want to make this deal wit cash money, and for this i told you that you can do this depozit on what name you want, like this:
First name of the sender : your wife or father first name
Last name of the sender : your wife or father last name
Address: your wife or father full address
City: your wife or father city
Country: your wife or father country
First name of the receiver : your first name
Last name of the receiver: your last name
City: Mannheim
Country: Germany
And i gest want to see if you have money for the car,,,,so i can be sure that i will not make the road gest for your pure curiosity....
And after you will do this depozit you will send me the scaned paper that you receive from the western union, and i will check that info on the page of western union:

https://wumt.westernunion.com/asp/orderStatus.asp
After i will see that, i will be sure that you will be there and that you realy have money for the car.
So this is the reason why i ask for this depozit, BUT YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL PAY ME ALL THE MONEY IN CASH,,,IN HAND WHEN WE WILL MAKE THE PAPERS AND THAT DEPOZIT WILL NOT COST YOU MORE THEN 100 EUR,,,,
After i will see that transfer i will call you to be agree about the time of the meeting and the directions,,,
So mail me your answer asap
Thank you and have a nice day

and...

Hi again,
Feew weeks ago somebody from France told to me that want to buy my car.I told him that is Ok,we will meet in Berlin /Germany and we will make the deal.I was in Berlin in the next day but no buyer, never respond to my emails or to my calls so here is what i am
sugessting to you: With this service i am sure that you have the money
and that you will come for sure in Berlin . This service name is Western Union Money Transfer. You must find the nearest Western Union agency and you will go there with your best friend or your wife. Your wife or your friend will be the sender of the money and the receiver of the money is you in Berlin /Germany. I want to be 100 % sure that you will be in Berlin because once the money are sent you have to be in
Berlin to get the money. Right now i am located in Dublin/Ireland with business but after i will get the receipt from WU i will come
back in Berlin to wait you and to finish the deal. That's why i need to see the receipt.I don't want to buy the plane ticket to come and then to wait you and maybe you will never come. If i will see the receipt then i will be sure that you will come and i will go to buy the ticket plane for
Berlin . After the transfer is made you must scan the receipt
from WU and then send it in to my e-mail address attached so i can check. If you are agree then i will keep the car for you and after i will see the copy from Western Union then in max.1 day i will come back in Berlin to wait you.You must understand that you will not send the money to my name. You will be the receiver of the money and only you can take the money from Western Union.
As soon as i will see the copy from Western Union i will go and i will buy the plane ticket for Berlin .After that i will send you the copy so you can be sure that i am not joking and that i will be in the
same day in Berlin . When we will meet in Berlin we will go to a mechanic
to confirm you that the car is OK and to Police so they can tell you that the car it's not stolen.I will transfer the documents from the car to you and after that we will both go to Western Union and you will
take the money sended by your wife or friend in Berlin. If something is wrong with this car then i will give you 500 Euros from my money for your trip and for your time so please troust me because the car it's like new. Western Union take comission for sending the
money. This is not a problem because when we will meet in Berlin i will give you back the money which you have paid for sending the money to Berlin . If you are interested please reply me or call me

the other party claimed that i gave her the wrong MTCM number so she wasn't able to collect the money. but in actual fact, i didn't. so i called western union right away and told them to cancel the transaction. they asked me some questions about the other party and it turns out that she was on the government's list of people or sth to that extent. i'm not exactly sure but i got my money back! guess i was really really lucky. and i learnt my lesson Smile
