Hey Camille
I pretty much kept to the South of London and never had any problems. Fulham, Putney, Southfields, Wimbledon Park and Wimbledon are all great areas.
East Putney was probably my fave area. Good transport, great shops and bars and awsome little flats.
When I first got to London I was in a pretty dodgy area called Kennington. I think you'll figure out the types of places that interest you once you settle in! It also depends if you want the token aussie areas, Acton is a popular aussie hangout.
London is awsome, where ever you end up you'll hopefully love it! Wish I could go back :*(

hi Camille
I am in the same situation as you as i am moving to London in 2 weeks and am also living in Perth. What a change we are up for and how exciting! I have know idea where to live either and how to go about it. I start work a few days after i arrive so i am looking to stay in a hotel in Hammersmith. A friend told me this was a good area. Hopefully your replies can help me too!
Good Luck |

Hi Nicky and Camille,
Maybe It might be a good Idea for you both to rent the rooms I have available for a few months see how you feel about the area and also this will give you time to look for somewhere else if this is not what you are looking for. It will be cheaper than staying in a Hotel and maybe we can also come to some arrangement. I live in South London - Catford. You can send me your email so I can email you direct.
