Just wondering if there is any markets on the weekends and weekdays in Edinburgh. I mean like markets that sell clothes, computers etc. Not just food. A market that sells a variety of stuff.
Also is there any car boot sale on around the city?
Anyone know of any of theses happening? |

Markets:
There is Ingliston Market every Sunday which is beside Edi Airport. There is also a market every Sunday at East Fortune in East Lothian. Theres a new market I just noticed last week in Edinburgh city centre, up one of the streets that runs of Princes Street, its quite small though.
Car Boot Sale:
There is a big car boot sale in the OMNI Centre multi-storey car park either on a Saturday or Sunday, can't remember which.
Thats all I can think of |

That sucks, I am shocked its gone. Last time I had been I did notice it had been severely downsized. We used to have a really good market culture in Britain and it seems to be dissapearing.
What on earth is the Lothian & Borders Police Fraud & Counterfeits Dept doing with their time now Ingliston is dead? They should be raiding E-bay which is rife with all sorts of dodgy activity. |

There's one at the corn exchange every saturday. But it's not that good. Stick to greenside. Make sure you're there early though to catch the bargains! |

Come on Thally thats just bang out of order!!!
I mean really its a bit strong regardless of your opinion. I posted the coffee table thread and dino was a bit of a plonker there sure, but hey hes no different to most other posters. I make a crappy post to a thread now and again and I know I do, I sometimes show stupidity or a bit of lazyness. Thats how it goes. Do we really need perfection, aren't we all just humans who make mistakes or sometimes lack the appropriate attention span at times.
Yeah Dino has probs and hes an easy target but I think there are some who need to ask questions of themselves first before they start targeting Dino.
I like you Thally and I often like your direct nature, I am just having my opinion now and saying I think you could tone it down a bit re Dino's posts.
And as for you Pstitch... I just have no time for you and find your attitude deplorable. I don't get you and can't suss you out. You clearly have your own problem or some sort of hidden agenda. You are always the first person to throw in a rude, unproductive comment to follow up on any comment re Dino (and thats just if you haven't initiated a flow of negative discussion yourself with an inappropriate dig at the guy in the first instance).
I am just asking for a bit more humanity around here, give Dino a break and think twice, pleaseeeeeeeeeee. |

And I forgot... not that it matters that much really but some people seem to call the carpark the greenside, and others the OMNI. A bit like some people call that retail park, 'the fort' or 'new kinnaird' or 'the jewel' its all the same but not everyone necessarily knows all or some of these descriptions.
at least give people the benefit of the doubt, dino is not deliberately not understanding or misinforming, and we ALL do the same thing whether we think we do or not. I am just frustrated by this bandwagon like highlighting of every little foot (or toe even) that Dino may put wrong. |

FUCK OFF oops! boy.
I read Dinos diary and couldn't concentrate all day. I emailed police because I thought he might harm or top himself. I know what it is like to be there. I have come round after days in a high dependency ward with tearfull family by my side not understanding why. I'm just glad I am able to see my young family grow up.
Dino there is help and believe me, someone once told me my whole life wasn't screwed up. I did not believe but take my word for it it's true. I now seem to have gone to the other extreme and worried about my health and hope I can live to see my kids flourish |

Well that was a charming yet intelligent reply. Ok thats a little hidden dig I know but lets not be completely rude to each other is all I am saying.
Pstitch - bygones?
All I was saying before is what I didn't get is that you are able to relate to Dino perhaps much more than most others because of your own life experience and felt compelled to call the Police. Yet despite all that you continued to bash and knock the guy afterwards. It is very inconsistent and confusing to me.
And by the way I think it was totally understandable you did call the Police and it sounds likes you did so for all the right reasons.
Most of us seem to complicated people as the human life form and I am sure I will have my own complications like most, but am more private than Dino or yourself in I don't wish to be so open in sharing life things on a gumtree forum. I respect you both for the openness. |

So there is only one market and one car boot sale on every sunday in edinburgh. The east fortune market is too far away. Any other markets besides these.
Does anyone know if the market beside the airport is definiately gone.
