Why can't gumtree add Scam warning attachments 2 emails ?

Gumtree should force through a safety warning about scams through to every email sent via the gumtree site for all inward mail and show pop up warnings or send emails back to the sender that has just sent an email via the gumtree site.

I know a few people conned by the scammers and most people just dont read the 'warning' pages they are too busy some dont even know they are there. It's human behaviour to not read small print or gumtree washing their hands off these scams by saying 'you should have read the warnings'. Force people to read them even by pop up ads etc so they know.

also gumtree should have staff responding to these ads to sus out scammers and place decoy ads. I mean..what do gumtree staff do all day except cutting and pasting sympathy messages to scam victims.?!?!

Gumtree takes no responsibility for their site which is a real shame. they allow Scammers to operate here and do nothing about it.

It wouldn't surprise me if they have a deal going with them to make money.

Try posting warnings to people in an Ad saying beware of scammers and watch how quickly Gumtree pulls it down. They are blatantly ripping people off and don't give a fuck!!

Its not about warnings its about Gumtree doing something to get rid of them...truth be told if there were no scammers on here the website wouldn't have any users!!

GUMTREE don't do anywhere enough to combat Scams...in fact it seems they take the side of Scammers on many an occasion.

I have tried to post an Ad warning of Scammers and within 5 mins it was taken down by Gumtree...probably after the Scammers complained.
Are Gumtree stupid or Crafty scammers themselves...you decide.

My advice is go somewhere else...Gumtree is a haven for Rip off merchants. Its got to the point where you just can't trust this site!!

Gumtree is like a notice board in your local shop. It's not ebay, or something like this. People need to take responsibility for their own actions.

If I post an add that says "Send me your cash, and I'll give you nothing in return" and people do, is that the fault of the noticeboard or Gumtree, or the people who send me the cash? Wink
