Hi,

I will be moving to Luxembourg in September. I will spend 5 months there working for EU institution. I am also looking for accommodation.

I was told that if you use agency to find you accommodation, their fee is 1 months rent (!) + some admin charges.

Studio flat is usually 600-700 euro per month + charges

A room in shared accommodation is about 300 - 400 euro

What you will be doing in Luxembourg? Are you planning to stay there for a long time?

I have a year-long contract. I am going to work as a translator for the European Commission, but so far has found nowhere to live in.

for the translation traineeship - check this link http://ec.europa.eu/stages/information/traineeship_en.htm#Infotab1
they recruit twice a year, you just send your application ... and wait for results Smile
