i wrote to an add for a harley davidson yesterday and today i've got this answer here:
Hi there,
Before we move forward I would like you to know that I posted the ad on eBay as a "classified ad" and it was transferred on gumtree due to they're new eBay-gumtree partnership and now instead of being listed on eBay it's listed on gumtree. Because of this I can only close a deal through the eBay system and with eBay members only. Sorry.
PS: I'm a very experienced seller on eBay... You can check my eBay ID so you can see my feedback... I'm ultrathong on eBay. Here is a link where you can see my feedback:
*********URL ********* <==== 95 positive feedback (100%)
why the heck would someone put something to ebay and "transfer" it to gumtree??? i have never heard of a new ebay-gumtree partnership?? did someone ?? maybe he wants me to feel comfortable when i see some positive feetback? who tell me that this is really HIM ? (on ebay)
this all sound a bit dodgy
any ideas? |

just the usual con
con is short for confidence if they can persuade you that they are legit they are 90% of the way there, and if they give a great price you are already sold down the river
dont touch |

HI retod
Thats how it works
It would amaze you how many people switch off their common sense when presented with a bargain
i had a guy on ebay who had picked up a flyer for a vacation villa in florida andwas passing it off as his own on ebay, he had sold 6 weeks for £250 a time. and i contacted the people involved and told them it was a con.
gave them the details and the name of the owner and out of the 6 2 took it ok, 4 blamed me for bursting their bubble. one actually said
i dont care im getting a holiday for 1/2 what i paid last year
err no you are going to turn up at a door to find it locked
one of them was a policeman too.
(full story on request, its a cracker)
(guy got community service btw) |
