I feel this is just a list of merits the police and HO have acquired. they cnt do anything to the victims like us because they know the fraud done by univisas and not applicants.
Hope we get all our passports and docs back soon now so that we can apply for the extensions. It should not be difficult even if our earlier case was filed by Rakhi or Sharma. |

| Hi everyone. UNIVISA's is now closed for good as it has been exposed that the visa consultancy was a 420 scam. They are all arrested and going to prison. The authorities know that they supplied fake documents to visa applicants and charged massive fee's for visa's for UK. You need to contact the HOME OFFICE for any original documentation that you sent to UNIVISA. Please remember that you may be questioned and ensure you get your story straight. |

Handful
Only a handful of the 950 immigrants brought in to Britain in the Univisas scam have been deported, it can be revealed today.
Immigration officials have traced and removed around 50 illegal immigrants since the fraud was uncovered more than a year ago, but hundreds more are still in the country.
Most were from India, but around 150 were from Pakistan, raising fears of a possible terror route.
Efforts to remove them are hampered by the fake addresses given when bogus applications were submitted on their behalf.
Most of the migrants who paid around £4,000 each for Univisas to get them in to Britain gave the fraudsters' address as their own.
The UK Border Agency, which is tasked with tracing and removing them, said around 20 had been told they could stay after their applications were re-examined and approved.
Another 50 have been served with deportation notices but are still being processed.
Tony Smith, London and the South-East director of the UKBA, said he was "more interested" in targeting other criminal gangs abusing the immigration system than finding the immigrants already here.
And he admitted many of those given visas that will now be revoked could move in to the black economy.
He said: I'm more interested in tackling the gangs who bring people to this country in this way."
"This is sophisticated immigration-organised crime. Unless we attack and tackle the facilitators and the organisers of immigration crime then we will continue to see criminals making serious money out of smuggling illegal immigrants in the the UK."
"We've got a system for tracking people as best we can. Some will abscond and we will lose track of them."
"They are in a difficult situation...many of them are drifting in to the black economy and lower paid jobs."
"We will be systematically checking through those to identify which ones qualify to stay but a significant number of them will end up being deported."
It is estimated that tens of thousands of immigrants been brought in to the UK through bogus colleges. |

Thanks Akki,
I have been searching other forums and as far as i have read, posts are no one will get extension if they applied through univisas.
So was wondering if anyone actually got their extensions even after univisas name mentioned in their approval letter. |

Indian trio jailed for biggest UK visa scam
3 Amassed £3M By Helping 1,000 Illegal Migrants Enter Britain
London: Three persons of Indian origin have been sentenced to 19 years in jail for running a “visa fraud factory” that earned them a whopping 3 million pounds and allowed at least 1,000 illegal immigrants to enter or remain in Britain.
A city court sentenced Jatinder Kumar Sharma, 44, and his second wife Rakhi Shahi, 31, for seven and eight years respectively for running a fraud firm called Univisas, where they helped hundreds of immigrants apply for visas using bogus documents and false identities. The court also ordered that they be deported at the end of their sentences. Another accused, Neelam Sharma, Jatinder’s first wife, was sentenced for four years.
“The conspiracy concerned a carefully planned professional organisation that continued for two years and would clearly have continued beyond that had the police not acted on what was a smart piece of investigative reporting,’’ judge McGregor-Johnson at Isleworth Crown Court said. He added that Sharma, who is still listed on the roll of solicitors in the UK and possibly in India, was “completely unfitted to be a member of that profession’’.
Jatinder was convicted of stealing ink stamps from companies where he had previously worked, money laundering, deception and using a false passport to enter the country.
While his second wife Shahi was sentenced for laundering money and using false documents to enter the country, his first wife Neelam was punished for money laundering, but cleared of conspiracy to defraud and immigration offences.
Police suspect that more than 1,000 people, mostly from the Indian subcontinent, used the business to cheat border controls. However, of the 960 cases, files of which were seized, only 81 clients have been identified and traced, and just 41 removed from the country, the court heard.
The Univisas operation was uncovered when a newspaper reporter secretly recorded Sharma offering to supply false documents to him for 4,000 pounds. Shahi and Jatinder Sharma, who ran the immigration consultancy business, amassed a mountain of 90,000 documents, including false university certificates, fraudulent academic records, bogus bank statements and payslips. They also kept passports, 50 different types of headed notepaper and 150 ink stamps which were all used to create fake documents to support visa applications. Jatinder and Shahi are believed to have earned at least three million pounds from their fraud business. AGENCIES
