Hi All,

After many nightmare years of renting in london and brighton, I wanted to create a web site giving advice that I never recived. (I learned the hard way, normally at great cost to me)

The idea of it all, ios to just have all the infoamtion a tenant might need in one location. As when ever I have had problems in the past have had to search the web for help.

Its not finished yet, and needs some more work. But any advice would be greatfull.

www.zapped.co.uk

Thanks

Dave

here the advice buy you arent going to like it

5. No SPAM, commercial advertisement or links to promote other websites – this includes using a company name as your username or having a commercial link in your signature.

6. Forums are for chat not ads! - if you want to advertise a job/ sell your car/ rent out your flat etc then please post an ad in the listings.

and yup i know you are just trying to help people but thems the rules

This is not a commercial advertisement. People post up here all the time asking advice. I would just like to be able to help.

Its only a forum, not the law. I am sure in cases where a product is not being sold, the rules can be bent a little. Or it makes the freedom of speach thing a bit poinless.

What Monty said: promoting other websites is against Gumtree rules

Apart from that, I can't open the link. It's not working

Monty removed it.

Oh well! I tried!

Its not like I am trying to make a quick buck, just wanted to help people. There are loads of posts every day on this froum asking for tenancy help. Just thought a site like that would help.

Thanks

Any way!

BTW, you don't have a category for accommodation or rentals so the whole thing is pretty pointless in this section

Another thing that I didn't like was that you had no links to authorities. For example links to credit card companies web secure pages where they confirm that no staff member will ask a customer for PIN number. A couple of links confirming your advice may be nice since any eejit can set up a web page and call themselves an expert
