| I think the cheapest fares between the UK and Australia are with Air Asia a Malaysian low cost carrier who's hub is in Kuala Lumpur www.airasia.com They fly from Stansted to KL then on to Perth/Melbourne/GoldCoast. I have a Promo RETURN from GC to KL KL to Stansted in Oct/Nov 09 for A$509. approx 250GBP. Their fares are normally about half the main carriers and they have promo sales where KL to Oz is A$99 =50GBP. I have used them 3 times for trips to Malaysia and Thailand each time brand new Airbus 330's and am travelling to GC to Sri Lanka for A$300 return soon. The seats dont have much tilt and you pay for all extras food etc but hey you get there quicker than most other airlines and its good value. |
