Hi !!! Im Chris, 28 in South Manchester. Im a club promoter, dj and am up for meeting anyone interested in the below:
Ive just bought a ticket to Melborne via South East Asia, leaving on the 1st September 2009. I'll be flying to Singapore and leaving to OZ, 8 weeks later, out of Bankok. Im meeting friends, family and creative peoples.
I have loose plans for my trip between Singapore and my flight to Melborne. Im just working on getting some more info on sights, hostels, beaches, food and transport. Probably Laos, Thailand, Cambodia as week long missions!?!? Loads of things to get together and condense into a backpack before then...
If you are in the same situation as me, travelling on your own through these destinations or just want to chat about anything related drop me a line, please.
Chris

I juss thought of lending you a helping hand as I was in that region for over 5 yrs.
Anyways i wont be around in September 2009 as ill be going this June.
If you are going to Singapore, you should definitely enter Malaysia as well. Kuala Lumpur is also an awesome city with a lot of clubs as you have mentioned your a DJ.
what kinda music are you into? Techno, Trance or R&B and Hip Hop?
and Bangkok is cool and if you need any help in hotels and places to stay and attractions i can help you with that as well.
I am from Maldives and I do travel business here.
cheers

Thanks for the reply. Im still working on a route through Asia. Im thinking of heading towards Kuala Lumpur before reaching a nice beach to relax on. I then plan on heading up through Thailand and into Vietnam & Laos, from Bankok.
Im into all sorts of music. Mainly dance music (drum & bass, hip hop, breakbeats, hosue) & dub reggae...lots. I have a good sized mp3 player though so I expect I wont be short of music. Might be good to find some clubs though....I have been searching for some DJ work through some forums and contacts, but not too much news yet.
If you could give me any good advise or info on hostels/hotels, eating, travelling in these areas, I would very much appreciate it.
Many Thanks,
Chris |
