Hi all,

My name is Ellie. Im thinking of getting working visa, and going to Australia Jan 2010. I don't really have a set plan yet, definately want to travel the East coast, and get a bar job somewhere, maybe Melbourne or Brisbane.

A bit about me, Im 25, i have taught English in Thailand, travelled South America and worked a season in a bar in Ibiza.. and now i have the travel bug for Oz! My facebook is 'Elliethailand' if thats easier

i have a similar plan....have my visa sorted and am going asap, need to get a bit more money together first.

have you got a flight yet? any tips for cheap tickets?

i am probably going to fly into sydney, work for a couple months, then buy a van and roadtrip everywhere

have taught english in bangkok myself, where were you teaching?

Hi, Im going out to Oz on 28th Dec just for 3 weeks but due to being let down by a friend looks like i'll be spending the time on my own - Ellie, or anyone else - what dates will you be out there? Im landing in Melbourne but planning on the Gold Coast & Sydney - if anyone else will be there the 1st few weeks in Oz please let me know - esp looking for someone to spend NYE with to go to a club, festival maybe...

giant peach, love these user name! i taught english in nong khai, on the border of laos. i have seen some cheap from on round the world flights. com, to sydney via bangkok which means that i can travel round SE asia on the way back. i really need to focus and back my flight! x

nongkhai was probably a lot more relaxed than BKK; couldn't hack it for very long in a high school there!

yeah, i really need to book my flight too. was originally hoping to stop off somewhere in SE Asia, but it's probably going to be direct to Sydney for me now as the ones i found via the middle east were cheaper, about £600.
