Hi everyone,
Was just wondering if anyone had any experience with coldcalling, and can tell me what to expect.
I run a small webdesign team, that are currently running at about 1/5 of our potential operating capacity, so we are faced with the choice of offering a commission only role (would be good money, if the person was good) or one of us taking it on, but ive never done anything like it before, and dont want to cause more harm than good.

It is a good idea to employ someone on commission only basis as you find only the people who are confident in their sales abilities will come on board and work bloody hard for their cash.
If you are planning on doing it your self I would suggest maybe taking an effective selling course as it is so easy to get sales wrong and simply just annoy people.
Companies hate sales calls, therefore you need to make sure you get it right first time you call or they will never take the call again. There is lots of good advice on the web for effective selling.
Make sure you have some unique selling points that you can get across to the client in the first 10 seconds on the call to grab their attention.

Thanks for the advice.
Ive been keeping an eye out for someone willing to do it, but people have mortgages to pay, so even though i offer a good commission rate (potential uncapped earnings, as we can take as much work as possible) most people dont seem interested.
