Well, I'm moving to London in early september and I need to find a job quickly. I will be studying part time at the university and need a job that would allow some flexibility. I have over 5 years customer service/admin experience and would be happy landing a job in that sector, although I don't mind considering retail or bar work.
Problem is, I don't know how to get started. I lived in Glasgow a few years ago and found my job through the job centre, but don't know if it is the best way to find a job. Would you recommend it?
I've also been looking at recruitment agencies websites, and most of them have the option to upload your cv. Would you recommend contacting them through the website or is it better to visit them in person? How useful is it generally to send companies/agencies your cv by email? I tried my luck before with companies here in Spain and normally don't get a response, is it any different in London?
As I said before I am considering Bar work too. But I have almost no experience in hospitality (except for a few 1 day temp jobs and a short stint in a caffe nero), how hard is it to find a job in this sector with almost no experience?
Any tips would be appreciated |

| with 5 year's experience I'd make sure that you also register with relevant agencies, both online and in person. |
