|

Hello,
I have recieved an offer after I had applied through milkround.co.uk for an internship in beijing, I had made an online application, then had a telephone interview then the next day was emailed an offer to partake in this internship. However im confused and have never done an internship let alone an international internship and do not know if this is normal or legit? Becuase along with the offer the next steps for me to accept is to make a decision in 3 days, then pay deposit of £100 then expected 2 weeks after is the rest of the £1,295 fee which covers my accomodation and everything else for me in beijing for the month. Does this sound normal???The compnay is called CCRC asia ltd and I had been given these wesites which I have checked out www.crccasia.com/internships and http://www.china-consulting.co.uk/ and http://www.china-recruitment.co.uk/ and If anyone has experienced these sites and have any background knowledge please let me know
thank you so much |

| the fee for accommodation in Beijing sounds expensive to me. I'd ask if you can sort out your own accommodation. |

HI,
exactly the same happened to me - in the end i decided not to take the offer.
i never found out if it was fake or not but its unusualy to have to pay for an internship. a thousand-odd pounds is nothing for a big corporation to pay to have an intern work for them for free so why wouldnt they?
it sounded too dodgy for me and i ignored the offer. i did get a couple of calls asking if i was still interested from a man but i told him im not - he asked why and i said i dont wanna go abroad and he said ok bye.
i cant tell u its a scam 100% but i wouldnt and didnt
good luck, please let me know what happens |

Hey...
I went on this program (CRCC Asia, right?). It was good. There were 15 of us when I was there - sept 09, and all seemed ok. The team in Beijing is nice and the company they placed me with is good. Yes, accomm fee is expensive, but includes the visa, cultural training and stuff...anyway, my parents paid!
Have fun if you go on it. Check out Bar Blu in sanlitun,...wicked. |
