Hi i'm looking to buy some tickets for the first time on gumtree but there seems to be so many scams. What tips would you recommend if i were to buy from say this ad? (I've already read the sticky)

I'd always put the phone number into Google - it's amazing how many old ads will appear from a seller (and even more amazing how many shows on a tour a seller can't attend due to the wife's illness...).
Also, look at the language they use. From that ad and it's hard sell I'd guess they were a tout. Probably be okay...but I'd always want a face to face transaction.
Personally I'd never deal with a tout. Nine out of ten times you get a spare ticket off a genuine fan just looking for their costs and not wanting to rip anyone off. Just keep a look out, especially around the time of avent. |
