Hi i'm looking to buy some tickets for the first time on gumtree but there seems to be so many scams. What tips would you recommend if i were to buy from say this ad? (I've already read the sticky)

I'd always put the phone number into Google - it's amazing how many old ads will appear from a seller (and even more amazing how many shows on a tour a seller can't attend due to the wife's illness...).

Also, look at the language they use. From that ad and it's hard sell I'd guess they were a tout. Probably be okay...but I'd always want a face to face transaction.

Personally I'd never deal with a tout. Nine out of ten times you get a spare ticket off a genuine fan just looking for their costs and not wanting to rip anyone off. Just keep a look out, especially around the time of avent.

unless you can meet the seller in person to get the tickets cash in hand then dont bother you will get ripped off.
