Suggest a new Gumtree city!

I would like to suggest a gumtree for Cheshire. At the moment Cheshire has to fit into either Manchester or Liverpool and it doesn't really work. Cheshire is a very diverse place with a lot going on and it's a large area not currently covered by gumtree. I'm sure there is a good demand for it.

Can you set up either Evesham and Worcester under Birmingham or create a new section called Worcestershire

We have a lot of people needing Gumtree in the area.

No I don't want to promise one thing and then it looks different when it launches. The idea does keep evolving as we implement.

You have no cities close to the Kirklees area of West Yorkshire where we have quite a number of properties. These are Dewsbury and Batley with WF postcodes. Leeds and Bradford are the nearest cities which are not part of this connurbation

yep we have a solution coming for that as well! I wish I could say what it is but it is under strict embargo at the moment while we get it working porperly!

Hello Gummo,

I think you guys should try VANCOUVER again. I saw that you had a gumtree there for a little while, but it didn't really pick up. That's too bad as I'm sure cities like Vancouver and Toronto could really benefit from a site like this.

BUT, I did see some huge flaws. The language wasn't directed at Canadians. Therefore saying something like "bed sits" or "flat shares" wouldn't interest anyone in the slightest coz THEY DON'T TALK LIKE THAT. Also, in the buisness services, the only people who ever posted ads were people who'se buisnesses are in London. Again, how would this be of interest to someone living in Vancouver? It's not fun to sift through two pages of London based adds just to find one local one.

It's easy to tell Gum Tree users to spread the word, but paying for an ad in a local entertainment newspaper never hurt either! I really hope the Gum Tree will re-consider this, launch it again, but aim it at the people they expect to use it!
