I was about to be scammed by this Mary Andison "down to earth" (as she said in her email) cabin crew with easyjet yesterday!!!! and guess what! if she is a cabin crew how can she be chatting with someone during her "break" at work??? cause i add her to my contacts in messenger to talk about the flat and when i asked if she was having a day off then she told me that! chatting in the airplane in a break??? i don't think so mate! The worst thing is before that i lost my mind and wasn't aware i was about to be scammed! what an innocent! and i sent my id copy and all my personal info to receive the lease agreemet contract... Then i googled her and found this forum that saved my 640 £. Anyway now i'm scared because we all know what she can do with this...

As 'she' named Shepherd and Wedderburn as her lawyers (although with a bogus lawyer (not on their list of partners) and an email address inconsistent with the firm's standard), I've forwarded all the correspondence I received from her, onto them (and their ACTUAL email address).

Probably won't result in anything, but at least that firm is aware and can take action if they wish to.

Don't know if there is much else that can be done.

we all get together. Each of us should fill an application at the http://www.ic3.gov/faq/default.aspx
This website works with the F.B.I and all the police from each contry the scams as been commited.
I already gave them sensitives informations because if we don't do anything how many more good peoples like us will be scams by this horrible men. and for your sache, it's not a women is a guy!!!! Using both gender female or male, operating under gmail, always, using posting or replying to post on free websites like Gumtree, Craigslists, free dating websites and so on...
We will never get back what he tooks from us but at least there is a change he get cought.

The pic bellow show the men we are talking about. He is not from Africa and don't have a british accent, it's a white male. He speaks perfectly English. He is thing and tall 5'8-5'9. Is computer I saw was a dell old model with blue cover on the front. Old models cells phones too. Last time saw in Los Angeles, he stayed at the Ramana Hotel on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown. As been stayed at the Coffee Beans or Starbucks because the connection is free. He is soft spoken. He smokes a lot of cigarrettes. He is always changing names and e-mails.

I was scammed. The flat was supposed to be in Great Western Rd., Glasgow. Good location, good price and I made the payment. I had a little doubt, but brushed it away and I signed a contract online as well.

The emails I received were exactly the same as the ones sent to the person that was offered a flat in Edinburgh!

Better type in the name Sheila veronica Lawrie before you make the payment!

I got yesterday also an attempt of scam by Mary Andison for a room in Glasgow. It all seemed to be too perfect, so I checked her on google and on facebook. The posts in this forum convinced me that it is obviously a fake offer. I'm also going to report this person to facebook. The pictures she attached to her mail seem to be out of a catalogue.
Anyway, here is the offer I got after I replied to her first mail (which was very general and unsuspicious):

An advert I posted on gumtree was responded to by a certain 'Nicole Webb' who was offering a place at 27, Redan Place, Bayswater, London W2 4SA. I've noticed whoevers doing this always uses the full address with commas, as if copy pasted from a website or googlemaps. Later when googling the address, I found it to be an estate agents instead of the 'three bedroom apartment with tasteful bespoke lighting' advertised. Luckily for me when she (although I doubt it is a she, they use female names to make it seem more genuine) sent me the final e mail asking for me to send money to a friend or relative I told her I wasnt going to make a big hoo haa over a viewing and she could slag off (note i didnt say it like peggy mitchell in the e mail for fear of her increasingly bad english not understanding).
When she first e mailed me about the room, I searched her name as it seemed too good to be true and found nothing, hence why I'm posting here just in case this name is used again and someone searches it like me and it will then lead them here! The e mail address she used was nicole.webb47@gmail.com.

All the photos of the apartment were taken from a catalogue and the passport was fake, not to mention she looked hideous.
After my serious googling of phrases from her description, her name, the address, flatshare scams and the more apparent things were becoming I decided to check out ANOTHER potential room mate who had been e mailing me about ANOTHER too good to be true apartment in Kings Cross. And true enough Richard Willmsen of 9 Argyle Square Kings Cross London WC1H 8AP (which again, is not an apartment but a hotel!) is a big fat fake too.
His e mail is richard.willms202@yahoo.com but he first e mailed me from mic_Koncewicz@hotmail.com which should have been the heads up for me. At least I didnt let him get to the Western Union bullshit story.

The nerve of some people.

So in my experience, things to do if you're unsure of something!

1. GOOGLE the full address if they give it to you, cos thats how they prolly got it.

2. If they have 2 e mails already be suspicious.

3. Look out for key phrases, too good to be true offers, constant use of the words MY APARTMENT

4. Bad english, getting worse per e mail

5. Google their names, e mail addresses, you might find someone else has written about them somewhere

6. IF ANYONE mentions western union, tell them to where to go. Or you could be really sneaky and print off a fake western union receipt, fill it in and send it to them and wait for them to realise theyve been scammed themselves. UP TO YOU

I've been trying to sell my car and had an offer matching my asking price, sight unseen, from Mary Andison by email. The arrangement was for her to make payment by PayPal, but when the details from "PayPal" came in, it was from a non-PayPal email address (paypal_pickup@mail2world.com). The scam was that the payment required me to first use WU to transfer $600 to "Mike Howard" 17 Lisle Street, Westminster, London WC2H 7BG, United Kingdom, before the PayPal payment would be made to me.

Anyways, so this is just another scam to watch out for. Take care hey.
