My name is Sophie and i'm 23 and thinking of getting my working visa and going back to Australia in January 2010 and am looking for a possible travel buddy. I'm pretty fun, love partying and drinking, but also love a quite night in. I'm thinking of either looking at the gold coast, brisbane or cairns but would love suggestions. If your fun and in your 20's then give me shout.

Hey I wanted to ask you something, I'm planning on going to Australia later 2010, but I don't know how does the whole visa process goes, can you give me some info about that?

I am already going to Oz at the end of November and hopefull be there for 6months to a year.
I have my working Visa sorted and really cannot wait to go!

Hey Hazel,
Whereabouts are you thinking of going in Oz? I have just been looking at flights today but i'm not sure where to go. Was either going to come over on the 1st Jan or the 29th but will def need to work as i have a limited budget. Have you been before? I just got back from Cairns a month ago and loved it but not sure if there is much work although the hostel i stayed in was offering free accommodation for 3 hours work a day. Haven't been down south though and am interested in going there too. Anyways let me know your thoughts it would be good to meet a some girls to travel with.

Sydney to Cairns sounds pretty cool. I dont really know where i am going yet but as soon as i do i will let you know and maybe we can meet up over there.

Hi Sophie,

I am going travelling in Feb next year, going to SE Asia for around 4 months then heading on to Oz for around a year. I have met a few people on gapyear.com that are heading out at the same time as me but apart from that i'm going out on my own!
As for whereabouts in Oz....i really wanna do the East coast as not done much of that but i have family in Perth so was thinking of travelling around most of Oz working at the same time.
A bit about me....i'm 21, going travelling for around 2 years for a break from work and England i'm pretty outgoing and laid back, up for a good laugh love havin a good night out.

Provisionally planning heading over to Australia in February/March 2010. I basically want to travel and work my way thru most of Australia.

I haven't decided where I’m going to start this trip, possibly fly into Perth as I have family there and start my adventure from there.

I have been to Perth/Adelaide and Melbourne before but all were for very shorts stays, But they were enough for me to relies how great a place Australia is and i want to get back asap.

I’m 22, Live in Scotland and can’t wait to get back to OZ!!!!!!!

I wanna go to Australia Jan 2010, and would love to find a travel buddy. I don't really have a set plan yet, definately want to travel the East coast, and get a bar job somewhere, brisbane, melbourne, ... I have heard loadsa cool things about Melbourne, with kinda backstreet bars and a hippy-kinda vibe. I was going to go with Bunac, but they charge £2000 for group flights, and I have seen flights for £900, so seems an expensive way to make friends!

A bit about me, Im 25, i have taught English in Thailand, travelled South America and worked a season in a bar in Ibiza.. and now i have the travel bug for Oz! My facebook is 'Elliethailand', my name is Ellie Breen, but there are a few of us, so its easier to search for Elliethailand.
