| I have small problem. The seller told that phone is locked in UK but unlocked abroad. Is it possible? I tried Uk networks simcards. They don't work. But more I've put MTS simcard (Belarus) and it doesn't work as well. I'm on Orange by rouming. But I can send messages. What's up? Could u help me? |

you can get it unlocked either by going into small phone shops (ie not carphone warehouse) they charge about a tenner.
Otherwise you can do it yourself and risk bricking it (term used for making it useless, hence brick worthy) |

The phone itself can be set to block certain sims, but this is a software issue and can be unlocked.
Although phone companies are cracking down on phone theft by blocking the actual serial numbers of the phone (this is only if you have documentation to verify this) this will only prevent the phone being used in this country. As other countroes use different networks they can still be used.
There is quite a scam going on in Eastern Eurpoe with stolen phones from the UK. |
