I am sick of going on the site to see if anyone has spare tickets for gigs and seeing post after post of touts trying to sell tickets for sometimes 3 times the face value and claiming that they are unblae to go......what a load of s*it. Even for gigs where tickets have been won over text lottery's...this is so unfair to proper music fan's that can't really afford to pay sometimes unto £100. This site was never designed for touts to use and there must be some way of stopping this nonsence. This is a peoples website! Is anyone with me on this?

Come on Gumtree, surely you can see what is going on here too? People are blatently ripping others off and spoiling what the site is all about. Can I urge others to resist lining the ticket touts pockets please as you are just fuelling their business otherwise and it will continue on and on.

I agree, can't gumtree have a policy where tickets are sold at either face value or at most £5 \ £10 over to cover postage or other costs.

I hate touts with a passion, as if it isn't hard enough to get to a game or concert normally, half of the tickets are bought by touts to make massive profits on!!

We don't allow commercial sellers / scalpers / touts on Gumtree, but we do allow individuals to post ads to resell their tickets.

Our policy for ticket ads is that you need to state the face value of the tickets in the ad, which should help you make your own decision:

If people are breaking these rules, please use the button on every ad to report their ad to our admin folks.
