I made a comment a while ago about duplicate adverts being in the removals section and the same people are still puting on around 5 or 6 adverts.
Can something please be done about this as it's now getting stupid. There must be something that you can do about it rather than expecting people to go through and report them to you themselves.
If you have made the rules then you should be the ones that do something about it and not expect other people to do the work for you.
You really need to start sorting this out |

In future if you come across any ad that you feel we should look at on gumtree.com, please use the "Report this ad to Gumtree admin for review" function on the bottom right of the ad. This is the quickest and easiest way to bring our attention to an ad.

I shouldn't have to sit there and go through and report all the people that are doing more than 1 advert. You made the rules so you should do it and not expect everyone else to do your work for you.
Well all I can say it if your not going to do anything about it then I'll just do the same and put 5 adverts on like everyone else.
There is not point you having rules if you don't do anything about them. |

| There are actually a lot of regulatory systems in place which rely on people pointing things out to the relevant body in order for them to be acted upon. I don't think it's unfair to ask people to *help* the Gumtree Mods by pointing out where there are duplicate ads. I also don't think you need to spend all that time doing it yourself! that would be a mammoth task! |

Well a comment from the person that calls herself bra girl mentioned in replying to someone elses comment.
Bra girl quoted "We only allow 1 ad per poster, per relevant category per day. If you are posting more than one ad, all duplicated ads will be removed from the site. If you continue to post multiples we will be forced to restrict your access. This is to protect our users from wasting there time and being able to maximise benefits of the service".
If she has said that if people continue to post multiples then there access will be restricted then why doesn't this happen. I have reported on numerous occassions that the same onld people have more than 1 advert in the removals section. I have reported it the correct way and I have also made comments like this before.
If you are able to restrict peoples access coz they don't stick to the rules then why don't you as it's unfair on other people that advertise in this section who do stick to the rules.
Why don't you charge people for advertising in this section then as that would stop people from doing 4 or 5 ads at a time. I know that my boyfriend would be willing to pay for advertising and I'm sure that there would be plenty of other people that would also. |

i'm with you foxy.
Today there are nearly 7 pages of removal ads, surely this is a record .
The removal section has gone really downhill lately. It surely must piss off the customers as well, as they have to ring up the same people again and again.
Either Gumtree should start charging or at least do some sort of moderating, instead of telling everyone to use report button and then do nothing about it. |

I totally agree with you Foxy.
If Gumtree are moderating this problem, they are not doing a very good job.
I used to advertise my business on there, but because of this reason
I have stopped doing so.
It's starting to look very tacky and unprofessional. |
