its all bull**** and a scam

a number of friends have paid via western union and never got any goods -the scammers usually target 1000s like this

never pay by western union in gumtree no matter how good the deal sounds.

from ebay website: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/confidence/isgw-sending-payments.html#instantwire

7. Instant Cash Wire Transfers

(such as Western Union & MoneyGram)
The use of instant money transfers as a method of receiving payment, via companies such as Western Union or Moneygram, is not allowed on eBay.co.uk. We have banned the use of instant money transfers as a payment method on the eBay.co.uk site to protect members, because in the past some sellers have exploited Instant Money Transfers in order to defraud buyers. If you notice a listing offering instant money yransfers as a payment option, please don't bid on it, and report the seller to eBay.

Risks:

Difficult to identify and designate recipient.
Not traceable.
Generally, no recourse is available if the item is not delivered as promised, even if you used your credit card to send the payment.
Not covered by the eBay’s Standard Purchase Protection Programme.

I won't but something I can't pick up, and I won't sell to someone who doesn't want to see the item first.

(except on ebay, where they offer you protection)

I have been getting 5 scammers for 1 non-scammer via email lately.

Hi, ive been reading these posts and i can't understand why anyone would even consider using western union to pay for items, if someone is using ebay id assume they would also have a paypal account & the payment options would be cheque, postal order, paypal etc, lets face it, how does anyone expect to be protected if they use western union? although western union usally do have plenty of questions the sender and reciever must answer before they will pay out so the scammers must be using real names with matching ID's? the police in their own countries should be able to deal with them? report it.

you won't get anything back, western union's small print wil tell you they are not responsible for anything if you use the service to pay for goods and don't get them, if you use western union over the phone you'll hear that in an automated message, i know because my mrs is from the philippines and i lived over there for a while and often used W/U to get cash send from Ireland.

I have been trading with China for many years. Mainly been sendng money using bank transfer. Never send money to a named person always send it to a company account.

Alot of people say never trade with China blah blah, if you cant figure out the good from the bad do not trade at all. If you don't know how to get a outsourcing agent simple....

You cant say all of them are scamers thats just not true, it's your research and parting the good from the bad is where your going wrong.
