Anyone hired a campervan one way in Europe? Can you recommend a good company, we are looking at driving Paris to Madrid in August/September.

Its very very expensive to hire a camper van. You are better off hiring a car and packing a decent tent. At least with the major car hire companies you can do one way trips.
