If you were renting a property and it was found to be structurally unsafe, would the landlord be required to find you alternative accommodation to the same standard (actually better than the same standard as the current standard is a health hazard) for the same rent or would you just be turfed out?

There are lots and lots of cracks in the archways and walls, girt great lumps of plaster have started falling down and the house next door has already been knocked down due to subsidence, which means our property no longer has a building next to it holding it up.

They've sent a structural engineer round before who checked it out and deemed it safe, however since then the plaster lumps have started falling on our heads so they have asked him to come round again, I need to find out what he said later.

I'd start stripping the copper out of the house now, and selling it to a scrap yard.
