| Hello....I am trying to sell an item on here and all the enquires I got are to send my item abroad. In my add I am saying I would accept cash only, but people keep asking for my paypal account. I was wondering ...is it possible to sell anything at all? |

Hi Ninka,
gumtree is meant for face to face trading
ignore anyone who is far away
esp abroad
I wouldnt even reply to them, just ignore.
never touch western union or moneygram
always used by scammers
watch out for cheque overpayment scams (google it)
you must have something worth while to sell or
scammers wouldnt be after it
best of luck |

Thanks so much for this information, I am new to online buying and selling and got this 'very polite' type of response, the overseas , and overpaid cheque type. I actually phoned the gardai as i didnt know where to find info as to authenticity of e-mails and he was very helpful and told me how common this is. so thanks, and i am wiser now!! lol |
