PET SCAMMERS...LOOK....

Gumtree say its hard to stop the scammers...I spent less than an hour to find these pet scammers in all of the uk.......ITS THAT EASY.. IF GUMTREE WANTED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT....Below is a list of pet scammers i found...some monkeys changed sex and names in different towns....most puppies were POTTY TRAINED...Parrots chaned named and sex..they changed price aswell fron town to town.......ALL IT TAKES IS SOMEONE CHECKING THE ADDS INSTEAD OF RELYING ON PEOPLE DOING IT FOR THEM...IN MOST CASES THEY STILL STAND AFTER REPORTING THEM.........HERES SCAM ADDS THAT ARE ON JUST NOW..........

These adds are currently live..as from this morning (wed 2/09/09 )...These were only the ones that were obvious...No doubt there are more...After emailing one about a puppy...he reply's saying the parrot can be picked up on the isle of man...I said i stayed on the isle of man..goody goody....He then says he'll get the puppy delivered...omg...a mutant half puppy/half parrot...When i'm bored i email them an play with them

yes, i ve had some swearies from them

when i reply to the ad and say im from, where they come from adn that we liek to eat dogs

ive reported this to admin for days now and they are supposed to be working on it but little evidence at the front end as you see

i asked one of the african sellers if the puppy could play 6 books at the bingo....got a reply saying the puppy is talented...so i'll need to get it a membership..lol

i'm waiting on a parrot getting delivered.....he said he released it a few days ago with a compass....been checking the skys since....so if you see polly..tell him i'm over this way....you'll know its him...he's carrying a potty

Your big mistake may have been checking the skies bobby... there's a brightly coloured dog outside my office window just now and I could swear it just asked a passing poodle "Who's a pretty boy?". He appears to have something tied around his neck... ooooh..... its an advert for western union! Definately yours! Wink

It is potty trained and can fart the Cameroon national anthem ... not that it is anything to do with Cameroon though as the seller in a African accent clearly told me he is from Scotland . Wink

I have seen and reported over 100 scam puppy ads today alone but gumtree just do not listen and keep leting the same scammers advertise all the time.

Today there was several from the same person who said they were Isle of white London (I have lived in London all my life so were do I get tube to the Isle of white?) we rang this chap he was not in the uk at all and did not understand he was commiting fraud and that he had been caught out.

Also I have to report that all the ads with 070 numbers are scams too.

GUMTREE WAKE UP BEFORE YOU ARE INVESTIGATED BY THE POLICE FRAUD SQUAD AMD THE RSPCA

As someone who reports fake pet adds my advice to you SChenery7 would be not to bother and it is for these reasons ...

It has been going on 3 years and Gumtree has done nothing to stop it , they just feed people with fake promises and lies .

They refuse to ban the scammers with the reason that they could still post using ip masks , that fact should not stop them banning them , they banned me for posting warning adds about the scams though .

I dont think they care 1 bit about the scams just aslong as they are earning £££ for paid adds .

The pet scam and flat for rent scam have been going on so long with nothing being done about it .

The scammer would not of been from the isle of wight , most are from Cameroon and Nigeria but will lie and say they are from the UK .
