|
|
I have noticed on alot of the jobs advertising for housekeepers/handymen, etc. that the pay is for example £600 pwn (net) per couple. How does this work out? ie. tax and national insurance must be taken into account, but who is to say what tax band that couple will have.
Does anyone know what the gros pay must be to be taking home £600 net?
Please help! Am well confused! |

Here, see this link, it tells you the gross and net pay -
http://netsalary.blogspot.com/
If it is £600 per week net per couple then works out around £31,000 per annum.
This is based on the standard tax codes. |

| But perhaps if its a live-in position, they are also factoring in the deduction of accommodation costs if they are not entirely free? |

| I just had another thought. When the salary is stated in net for a couple, does this apply for all couples married and non married? |

yes.. myself and my partner are not married but our wage is calculated as a couple by the tax man, we get a joint wage into the bank but separate pay slips |
