before you do that make sure you have a letter from your landlord saying eveything is ok.

your best bet when renting is use the EA to view properties then use the land register to get in contact with the landlord. Few of my mates managed to rent a property that way.

get the bank to do an escrow account, list the terms the landlord can access the fund ie once you moved into the property.
